IEC provided Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services for installation of photovoltaic (PV) systems at three (3) school sites within the Willows Union School District (WUSD) district. The solar installations consist of PV modules installed on both fixed-tilt ground mounted structures and elevated shade structures. The total installed solar capacity at the three sites is approximately 444 kilowatts (or .44 megawatts). As part of the project, IEC also analyzed energy usage across the District to identify the campuses with high energy consumption and/or large and costly peak demands. IEC performed a rate analysis to determine the optimal utility rate schedule for each school site. The results from these analyses enabled IEC to characterize the energy use at the sites, identify energy reduction opportunities, and properly size the solar PV systems.
