The A+ Employers awards are presented to the firms that rank the highest in the submittal process, which includes a corporate survey and an employee satisfaction survey. The finalists were selected from more than 100 local companies that were originally nominated. Top employers are recognized in a special supplement to the Business Journal.
IEC Corporation was again selected as the #1 Best Place to Work in the Sacramento area in its category as part of the Sacramento Business Journal’s yearly survey. IEC has been a top ten finalist nine times and was ranked number one in its category three times since 2007. The A+ Employers awards are presented to the firms that rank the highest in the submittal process, which includes a corporate survey and an employee satisfaction survey.
When asked by the Business Journal how IEC defines an A+ workplace, Eric Quintero commented, “An ideal workplace culture features opportunities for professional growth, achievement recognition and achieving goals as a team. It also involves an atmosphere where people feel comfortable in having different opinions and approaches which fosters a more creative and solutions-driven team."
The Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) recognized IEC Corporation with a Power Player Award. The Power Player Awards were given to those firms that distinguished themselves through superior contract performance and by helping SMUD achieve its renewable energy goals and improving service reliability during the previous year.
IEC was honored during the Power Player Awards Luncheon for being an essential supplier of engineering services to SMUD. During the ceremony, IEC was noted for its excellent work quality, consistent responsiveness, and solid commitment to renewable energy, which helped SMUD meet its ambitious renewable goals and be nationally recognized as a leader in renewable resources.
