IEC designed the 115kV substation as part of a Design/Build Contract with Wellhead Electric Company. The Substation supports the 50MW Panoche Peaker Facility, which was also designed by IEC. This substation was designed, permitted, and constructed on a fast-track schedule in which the design and construction schedules were compressed into a 50 day period to meet contractual requirements. During this period the substation design was reviewed and approved by both PG&E and County Building Officials. IEC negotiated and executed a unique review and approval process that allowed the project to be completed on schedule.
