The Turlock Irrigation District (TID) tasked IEC with supporting its relay replacement project during an outage. TID changed out the existing A1PP generator electromechanical relays with a new generator relay panel with two (2) new SEL-700G redundant digital generator protection relays and one (1) new lockout relay. The old relay panel was completely removed during the changeover. To prepare for the physical changeover, IEC revised the existing plant drawings to change out the existing electromechanical generator protection relays for the new digital relays. In parallel, IEC prepared relay settings that were programmed into the relays and also prepared a Relay Test Plan. After the equipment was installed, IEC revised relevant drawings to As-Built status.
