IEC provided project and design engineering for the Fresno Peaker Facility exhaust duct upgrade involving an FT-4 Power Pac Combustion Turbine Generator. The original vertical exhaust discharge was changed into a side discharge configuration to allow for the new CO and SCR equipped exhaust duct. The project included the design and installation of a complete ammonia storage and forwarding system to support the new SCR equipment. IEC also designed the transition ducting to mitigate thermal expansion loads on the turbine exhaust elbow as well as to provide an air tight seal for fire protection equipment operation. The PLC-based control system was modified to include the control of the SCR equipment and the Data Acquisition System (DAS).
