IEC was contracted to conduct a simple cycle conversion study to evaluate the feasibility to convert the HRSG into simple cycle operation without removing the existing heat transfer components. As part of the study, IEC also provided a cost estimate to complete the simple cycle conversion project, including costs for new equipment or existing equipment modifications necessary to allow continuous and safe operation. In addition, a project schedule, preliminary site layout, and preliminary heat balances were included in the final report. The final report was presented to upper management for asset improvement consideration.
