Evaluation of RFO Submittals

CLIENT: Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD)

SMUD contracted with IEC Corporation to conduct technical evaluations of proposals submitted in response to SMUD’s  Renewables Request for Offers. The submittals proposed power purchase agreements and/or ownership options for SMUD. IEC evaluated the renewable proposals using a variety of evaluation criteria, assessed the likelihood of the projects being built, and generated a final ranking of the proposals to discuss with SMUD evaluators. This included compiling opinions on each project’s strengths and weaknesses; posing clarification questions, comments, and suggestions; and recommending next steps for negotiations.
