LOCATION: Lovington, TX

IEC developed the conceptual design, performed all preliminary engineering, and provided detailed design for a 46 MW LM6000PC peaking plant on a green field site. Tasks included developing the site layout, specifying plant equipment, and determining air and water parameters for environmental permits. Water use requirements included the design of a Zero Liquid Discharge Reverse Osmosis system using the combination of microfi ltration and evaporation ponds. The plant was also designed to include a state-of-the-art chemical-free cooling tower.
