LOCATION: Fresno, CA

IEC provided design engineering services for a combined cycle power plant utilizing two (2) Rolls Royce gas turbines and one (1) Terry steam turbine. The plant was relocated from Chula Vista, California to a greenfi eld site at Fresno, California. IEC was responsible for all electrical, mechanical, and I&C work. Mechanical and I&C work included creating new piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and mechanical layout and detail drawings. Electrical work included electrical raceway layout and detail drawings, raceway cable schedule, conduit fill reports, termination schedule, loop diagrams, and MCC schematics. IEC integrated the new equipment into the existing substation ground grid, coordinated the relay protection with the interconnecting utility (PG&E), and provided all of the relay settings for their approval.
