Cache Creek Feasibility Study
LOCATION: Brooks, CA For the Cache Creek Casino Resort, IEC evaluated a variety of options to meet the estimated 3-megawatt (3 MW) electrical peak load for the hotel/casino and the estimated 10,000-lbs/hour steam load for the hotel. The Study examined simple cycle and combined cycle (CHP/cogeneration) gas turbine configurations, natural gas reciprocating engines, and renewable technology. IEC compared the selected power generating technologies, produced a thorough feasibility report, and provided recommendations regarding the best plant configuration to support the client’s power needs. IEC calculated capital cost, operation and maintenance cost, staffing requirements, payback, present work analysis, and PG&E rebates. IEC also presented various sample layouts and identified interconnect design requirements for the casino/hotel grid. |
