IEC to Provide Construction Management Support for Modesto Irrigation District’s Woodland Generation Station Unit 3 Project

Sacramento, Calif., September 29, 2009 – The Modesto Irrigation District (MID) has chosen IEC Corporation to provide Construction Management Support for its Woodland Generation Station Unit 3 Project. The Woodland Unit 3 Project will be constructed adjacent to the District's Woodland Generation Stations 1 and 2 (IEC also served as Construction Manager for the Woodland 2 project). The net power output for the Woodland 3 Project will be 49.6 MW. In order to provide adequate space for the Project, the District is also re-aligning the access road (Graphics Drive) to the west of the existing Woodland Generation Stations. Construction of the re-aligned road, a signalized intersection at Graphics Drive and Woodland Avenue and a new entrance to the District’s Service Center north of Woodland Avenue, is also part of the overall Project and IEC’s Construction Management responsibilities. As the on-site Construction Manager, IEC will coordinate and manage the activities of all of the onsite construction contractors and direct all safety, scheduling, quality control, and regulatory items.
