![]() Home :: What's New :: Grant PUD Taps IEC to Provide Prelimary Plant Engineering Portland, Oregon, July 24, 2009 – The Grant PUD Board of Commissioners recently awarded IEC Corporation a contract to provide professional engineering consulting services in support of a new combined cycle power plant project that will be located near Moses Lake, Washington. IEC Corporation will perform a complete conceptual design and feasibility analysis for the proposed 250 MW power plant to define and evaluate the physical and economic parameters of the proposed facility. Multiple options will be investigated, including the potential for a cogeneration scenario. IEC’s services will include developing detailed performance models, plant design criteria, site arrangements, process flow diagrams, single lines, water system scenarios, and project cost estimates. IEC has a long history of assisting utilities in developing similar power projects, as well as providing engineering support for renewable energy projects, substations, and transmission/distribution systems. |
