Navigant Consulting Hires IEC for Wind Feasibility Study

Sacramento, Calif., May 10, 2007 – Navigant Consulting selected IEC to obtain information about a potential wind site, such as existing facilities on site, topology, wind speed, direction, changes, and turbulence. IEC will use the information gathered in the site analyses to study the wind data in relation to wind power curves and create a conceptual design model for the proposed site. The preliminary siting will provide a total number of turbines and generating capacity that can be expected at the site, as well as the annual capacity for the potential wind plant. IEC will also complete conceptual designs for substation/switchyard, access roads, and electric collector systems.
