Renewable Energy Consultants

JOB DESCRIPTION
IEC Corporation is seeking Renewable Energy Consultants with technical experience with variety of Renewable Energy technologies experience for both our offices (Sacramento, California and Portland, Oregon). The candidates will serve as a renewable energy consultant and project manager to support renewable energy projects and will be responsible for acting as an authoritative counsel on complex technical work within renewable energy. Specifically, the candidate will evaluate innovative renewable energy technologies and make recommendations on purchasing equipment for use in projects; review renewable energy proposals and determine if projects comply with agency specifications; and assist management and clients in the development and implementation of technical plans to achieve desired renewable energy objectives. The work also involves performing evaluations, economic studies, and highly technical data investigations.

REQUIRED SKILL SET & EXPERIENCE

This role will require the candidate to have excellent technical knowledge across a variety of Renewable Energy technologies. This experience should include the technical experience required to perform due diligence, data investigations, feasibility studies, evaluations, and economic studies. Thorough knowledge of the current regulations, standards and procedures related to renewable energy and of current renewables technologies and methods is required. The candidate must also have the ability to understand and interpret technical publications, manuals, reports, surveys and related materials. Effective proposal and report writing skills is an imperative and candidates must be able to demonstrate their ability to completely develop and finalize these types of packages.

This position will entail working with other engineering disciplines and interfacing with clients to successfully manage projects. Candidates must prove project management skills with previously managed projects and a list of references for verification.

Candidates must: have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; a minimum of eight (8) years of similar experience with specific work in the energy industry; and be computer literate with knowledge of typically used programs.
